Pix Princss | 11/9/2009 11:41:55 AM

The Doctor is in, and the countdown is on! David Tennant’s final four adventures as the Tenth Time Lord unfold exclusively on SPACE. The second of four high-octane specials, Doctor Who: The Waters of MarS premieres Saturday, December 19 at 9 p.m. ET.

To kick-start the event, 24 hours prior, SPACE is re-airing DOCTOR WHO: PLANET OF THE DEAD. SPACE fans laid claim to the esteemed DOCTOR WHO franchise when this first installment reached nearly half a million viewers earlier in the year. Cited as the most successful and longest running sci-fi series in the world, the latest DOCTOR WHO specials are also available on-demand at www.spacecast.com.

After 900 years of phone booth travel the Tenth incarnation of the Doctor is tidying up the Tardis for the Eleventh Time Lord’s residency. In one of Tennant’s most thrilling adventures yet, Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars tracks the Doctor and his companion Adelaide (Lindsay Duncan), as they face terror on the Red Planet. Peter O’Brien (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) guest stars as Ed, Adelaide’s second-in-command at the base.

In DOCTOR WHO: PLANET OF THE DEAD,  the Doctor takes a detour to an alien world. Forced to work with the extraordinary Lady Christina (Michelle Ryan), the Doctor discovers terrifying secrets hidden in the sand, and the deadly Swarm is getting closer.

The final two DOCTOR WHO specials starring David Tennant as the iconic Time Lord are scheduled to premiere over the holidays.

DOCTOR WHO: The Waters of Mars is written by Russell T Davies (Torchwood, Queer as Folk) and Phil Ford and directed by Graeme Harper.  Davies and Julie Gardner (TORCHWOOD, LIFE ON MARS) serve as executive producers.

Dude, somebody get that guy some chapstick, better yet what about a bucket-load of skin moisturizer! I'm a huge fan of the Doctor, and let me tell ya I can't wait to see the Doctor in-action again after an almost entire 1 year absence on the sub-wave television network! (Say that statement like a Dalek 10 times warp speed!) On another note, will the Sarah Jane Adventures ever be on Space? I really want to see it!

this is so awesome. i missed the planet of the dead back in the summer coz of vacation. so, having another chance to see it, and then an entirely new episode, is a great Christmas present (probably my only real Christmas presents since i'm so broke this year). this is wicked. doctor who rocks so hard!!! i cannot wait to see waters of mars either. lindsay duncan is a pretty hot lady and a great actress (she was really good as Servilia in the series Rome). thanks BBC and Thanks Space Channel!!!! :D :D :D really gonna miss David Tennant though :(

Missing Link

In his book I Have to Hurt You, Canadian author Victor Farrel tells the bizarre story of how he was practically murdered by an assailant... from the astral plane. In 1978, a pilot was declared dead after he met up with... a UFO. For years, farm animals in Western Canada have been found slaughtered and mutilated, with no clue as to who committed these atrocities.
