Street Fighter And Tekken Go Two For Two X Two

While the Street Fighters have gone up against everything from their followers from King of Fighters to their uncannily unrelated X-Men, their newly announced brawl with the fighters of Tekken is taking an interesting twist. Yes, you can expect Zangief to pile-drive that smug looking King guy, but beyond that they are, how you say, going to throw a high kick in each other's shoes.

Announced at SDCC, game making staples Capcom and Namco revealed two games with similar titles. Street Fighter X Tekken accompanied by Tekken X Street Fighter will both continue Street Fighter's habit with picking fights with outside properties. But why two games with the same roster? Well, it's a simple answer, more obvious to fans than anyone else.

Street Fighter has had plenty of crossovers in the past, but the King of the Iron Fist is from another dimension, so to speak, a full 3D fighter while SF sticks to the classic 2D plane. Instead of displeasing a fan of either franchise, they'll simply play it both ways. Having one a 3D fighter with Tekken's specific mechanics (Tekken X Street Fighter) and vice-versa for the other. A quick trailer and a handful of screens reveal Kazuya and Nina from Tekken will throw down with Chun-Li, Ryu and Dan of the other.
