One of my favorite bands growing up was KMFDM.  Pioneers of heavy, awesome music (call it ‘Industrial’, or call it whatever you like), they were ahead of their time in a major way.  Songs like ‘Juke Joint Jezebel’ and videos like the incredible comic-book-inspired ‘A Drug Against War’ helped define my early years of hardcore music fandom.  Even more fortunately, KMFDM have continued to make challenging & vital music as time has, inevitably, marched on.  Their latest album is the poetically named WTF?!, and it’s their best in years.

It’s a major perk of my job that I get to interview many of the people who create the content I love – and recently I had the awesome opportunity to sit down with the band’s founder & front-man, Sascha Konietzko.  Hope you like the interview.
