You can tell me it was awful all you won’t, I won’t care, because I loved every second of Underworld 4. If all you’re looking for is an R Rated action movie about an attractive British vampire who kills lots of things then that is exactly what you’ll get. It’s also topping the box office at 25.3 Million. However, I would like to point out that if you want to see an action movie about an attractive woman destroying things that is actually a good movie, you should probably go with Haywire. Seriously, it’s awesome, see it.
No, I’m serious, Haywire was amazing and it only brought in 8.4 million. Do yourself a favour and go see it. I’ll still be here, go. Have you seen it yet? Okay. On to the spoilers!
The Crow
Oh hey, here’s something no one wants. And I think stopped caring about like five years ago. Anyway, the film already lost Bradley Cooper as the lead shortly before a certain lawsuit before Relativity Media and The Weinstein Company. This has been settled now, and according to Deadline, the parties will continue the movie as planned.
Oh, and they have a new director and writer too. Jesse Wigutow will be handling the script and Javier Gutierrez (Before The Fall) will be the new director. Now they just need a new lead and they’re good to go.
In a movie that isn’t really relevant anymore.
The Dark Knight Rises
Two things, a kind of cool behind the scenes picture of Tom Hardy in Bane, and some news about Liam Neeson. He will be making an extremely brief cameo in the film, as he was apparently only on the set for about an hour and wasn’t told anything specific. Interesting.
Marvel Movies
Hold the phone. Looks like we have an idea of what the two mysterious Marvel movies are going to be. Hollywood’s scientific advisor (yeah, they have those) revealed that he’s currently checking out the script for Doctor Strange. More news comes from actor Neal McDonough, who plays Dum Dum Dugan, and believes (though this isn’t rock solid information) that he and actor Samuel Jackson will be taking part in a Nick Fury movie. Again, speculation as there’s been nothing official, but in his interview he sounds pretty sure.
The Hunger Games
If you’re curious, there’s a tie-in website for the movie, mostly tied to the fashion of Effie Trinket (played by Elizabeth Banks). The domain name would be a reference to the city of Panem where the film takes place (for the most part). So if you’re into the style of children murdering each other, this is your one-stop-shop at Capitol Couture!
Too much?
The Walking Dead
Oh, ho, ho. We might have something here. Ex-showrunner of The Walking Dead, one Frank Darabont has a new show in the works called L.A Noir (No, not the video game. Though man, there’s an idea.). But who is the star of this new venture? It seems like John Bernthal, known as Shane on the zombie show, will be the leading man. While one can assume in theory he could find the time to do both shows, this seems unlikely. So could Shane finally bite a bullet like he does in Robert Kirkman’s comics? And if he does, how is he going to go?
