Uh, well, Killer Elite and Abduction both hit theatres this week, with less than stellar results, neither one reaching over 25% on Rotten Tomatoes. Looks like you might be better off checking out the re-released Lion King. Take the kids!

Riddick 3

Karl Urban is back, and reprising his role as Vaako! Bloody Disgusting has also offered us up a summary of the third movie in the franchise, which seems to be kicking back to the Pitch Black days of scary things on a distant planet. I’m cool with that.

The Dark Knight Rises

We finally have the full look at Catwoman’s costume, and it’s all stilettos and apparently goggles that look like cat ears, as opposed to the hooded approach of the recent comics. I don’t know if I would want to be robbing houses without a proper mask and in heels, but hey, I guess I don’t have the gusto of Catwoman. Check her out over at Comics Alliance!

Remakes and sequels!

Two big remakes on the horizon of your favourite classics. Robocop has kicked it up a notch over at MGM with Jose Padilha scheduled to direct, and slated it for a 2013 release date. Who is Padilha’s choice to play the cyborg hero? “I really like the Fassbender, I'd like to talk to him. I'll talk to him.” Not a bad choice for a remake no one really seems to want.

Ridley Scott has also given Blade Runner 2 traction and hired writer Scott Burns (Contagion) to pen the new film, which apparently won’t have anything in common with its predecessor except that it shares the same world. Interesting, I guess that means no Harrison Ford.

Chris Evans has claimed that we won’t be seeing Captain America 2 until at least 2014, which also seems to be when the Avengers 2 is slated to arrive. Also according to Deadline, Patty Jenkins will be the one directing Thor 2

Being Human (US)

Kyle Schmid, who you might know from Blood Ties, told fans via his Facebook that he has a role to play next season! He says he’ll be in filming for a few months, so maybe someone important? What do you guys think, will he be playing a new vampire? Hey, maybe we’ll see Henry again!

Doctor Who

Filming of the Christmas special continues, and so we continue to see loads of pictures from the set! Doctor Who TV has a particularly juicy batch including a futuristic space suit wearing Doctor, a classic car and a sheep.  We’re not even going to try to figure this one out yet.
