EPISODE 6 : “Invincible”

Nathan Stark (Ed Quinn) longs to obtain the secrets of a mysterious artifact he keeps in a top-secret room at Global Dynamics. He’s magnetized by its power, but is unable to protect himself against its deadly force.

Carl Carlson (Saul Rubinek), a brilliant but deeply troubled researcher, takes a liking to Sheriff Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) and invites him to the lab where he is trying to stimulate cell regeneration. A slip of Carlson’s hand creates a huge explosion that destroys the lab and his
research. Fed up with Carlson’s lack of results, Stark fires him and orders a reluctant Carter to oversee his removal from Eureka.

On his way out of town, Carlson makes an amazing realization — when injured, he has the ability to heal in minutes. At first, Carlson believes his project has been a success and revels in his newfound invincibility. Stark, however, learns the truth. The explosion released some of the artifact’s force, allowing Carlson to evolve beyond anything humanity has ever known.

When Carlson develops the ability to read minds, he discovers the truth about his condition and is inconsolable. Carter tries to help him and is severely injured in the process. Now, only Carlson can heal him and his next step only intensifies Stark’s dangerous obsession with the artifact.
