COMMANDER JOHN CRICHTON A second-generation astronaut, John Crichton is an over-achiever who spent most of his life growing up in the shadow of his famous father. Determined to make his own mark Crichton embarks on an experimental mission to test the Earth's gravitational force in relation to space travel. When the mission goes horribly, horribly wrong, Crichton is finally called upon to display the heroic qualities that he has always yearned to exhibit. Extremely human, Crichton is both vulnerable and capable of making mistakes. His lack of experience with alien cultures can make his actions seem awkward and misguided. However, he is generally able to thwart disaster - even though it is usually at the very last moment. Attained Fugitive Status: Crichton landed here rather by accident. With nowhere else to go ad no way to get there, Crichton is now a part of the this fugitive group, and is also credited with, among other things, killing the brother of Peacekeeper leader Captain Crais.
