Puzzle Game

Marbles are rolling relentlessly down a twisted track toward you. Stop  them by launching launch new marbles with your stylus. When three or more like-colored marbles match up, they vanish. Tons of power-ups, multiple tracks and a great multiplayer mode make Magnetica a must for puzzle/action fans!

Pros
Launch colored balls with a flick of the stylus at a string of coloured balls. Creating matches of three or more of a particular color result in a chain explosion, which eliminates the balls in the sequence. Combos are key to advancing in this title.

If you are a puzzle fan you should check this one out, Magnetica sports unique puzzle mechanics due mostly to the integral use of the touch screen.

It is refreshing to have the objects you are eliminating enter the screen and twist and turn in various ways, which is a nice break from the vertical staple set by most puzzle games. 4 different play modes Challenge, Quest, Puzzle and Versus. Magnetica supports single-card download play as well as multi-card play, you will never be alone again! A number of different power-ups help to break up the pace and throw a few curves at you.

The developer has brought their previous experience in this genre (Puzz Loop) in the form of the inspired Quest mode.

Cons
The stylus controls are sufficient for the opening stages but as the difficulty ramps up and more is demanded of you the precision needed is just not present. The style of play can become repetitive once you have familiarized yourself with the intricacies of this title.

Magnetica just does not have strong visuals, but it gets the job done. The audio on the other hand is forgettable I cant help but feel this was a missed opportunity for some Wifi play.

Magnetica suits the casual demographic Nintendo has created with "Touch
Generations" titles, but the price is too high for the product on offer. Wait for it to make an appearance in the bargain bin.
