The Fourth Annual Spacey Awards

Last year we let Richard Dean Anderson take the camera and surprise us with a wacky montage. Bryan Singer presented a SPACEY (even though it is weird, considering he knows Kevin Spacey). Katee Sackoff and Grace Park presented from the set of Battlestar Galactica, and Kim Poirier got into a bar brawl.

2005 Highlights

The Third Annual Spacey Awards

We remember how Lucy Lawless and Kim Poirier went ballistic presenting the award for best film; accepted by director Sam Raimi (Spiderman II). Matt Stone and Trey Parker presented the FX award for Skycaptain, John Carpenter presented best Horror Film to Shaun of the Dead, and George Romero accepted a Special Achievement award. The adorable, and inimitable icon, Stan Lee, received a Lifetime Achievement Award. And David Hayter was still working at a pub, this time in Merry Old England. And of course, it would not be a SPACEYS if we hadn't had a chance to honour Peter Jackson.

2004 Highlights

The Second Annual Spacey Awards

We met up with some of our hugest idols, including Peter Jackson, who said he was thankful for the 'silver guy' and talked about how lucky he is to have his passion and work be synonymous. James Marsters (Spike) seemed pretty grateful (until his statue ended up in an e-bay auction - Shame!), while Jolene Blalock was happy that her award was upgraded from the "hottie" moniker of the previous year. Jonathan Llyr helped Bruce Campbell stack firewood and give away the award for best horror film, while the SG-1 crew, hammy as always, got their goof on for our cameras.

2003 Highlights

The First Annual Spacey Awards

The First Spaceys ever! We gave our statuette for Lifetime Achievement to none other than Willaim Shatner, who wondered where, exactly, he would put the award. Jonathan Llyr donned a tux and headed to Hollywood to have a pint with screenwriter David Hayter. Peter Jackson talked about his winning battle sequence from the set in New Zealand, Viggo Mortensen thanked Canadian movie fans from the set of Hidalgo, Andy Serkis accepted on behalf of Gollum, Rob Coleman accepted on behalf of Revenge of the Sith and Richard Dean Anderson got caught making out with the statue(!?).
