Originally Aired: 1966 to 1969 Number of Seasons: 3 Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Its five year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before. Captain Kirk and crew travel the galaxy in The United Federation of Planets flagship The USS Enterprise hoping to discover new planets and new civilizations to both learn from and share resources with. Star Trek's future is far more hopeful than most sci-fi universes. The series was created by Gene Roddenberry and broke all kinds of new ground when it first aired in 1966. A crew made up of a black woman, an Asian man, an alien, and a Russian who all work together towards a common goal was one of the many elements that helped to make this show the Classic that it is today. |
