Capcom USA has announced that Street Fighter IV's development has just begun and the release of the game is more than a year away. No platforms are confirmed and no game footage was shown. Only an animated concept trailer of Ryu and Ken fighting accompanied the announcement.

The announcement follows years of rumors and cryptic messages from Capcom USA's team on their digital blog.
