The IESB believes that Josh Lucas (American Psycho, A Beautiful Mind) may be filling in the role of Captain Christopher Pike in the upcoming Trek reboot.

Christopher Pike was captain of the starship Enterprise for many years. He came before Captain James T. Kirk, and after Captain Robert April. He was played by the late Jeffrey Hunter in the 1964 pilot "The Cage". The character appeared in a later episode titled "The Menagerie" (played then by Sean Kenney).

Pike was severely injured while rescuing several cadets from a baffle plate rupture onboard a J-class training vessel. When he appears in "The Menagerie", he's confined to a wheelchair; delta ray radiation also made him mute and badly scarred.
