The second X-Files movie has now begun production and the release date is set for next July. The sequel stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. It will be directed by series creator Chris Carter, who co-wrote the screenplay with former executive producer Frank Spotnitz. There are some suprises in store for Mulder and Scully's relationship during the movie.
