EW has an interview and on-set photos from the upcoming Sweeney Todd adaptation starring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. In the interview, Depp talks about being approved without having to audition or sing. Depp also didn't develop his character with a vocal teacher - he decided to do it mostly on his own. Also, since the colours in the movie are desaturated, the fake blood was actually more orange.

Of note, the interviewer asks about whether he plans on doing a Dark Shadows feature. Depp answered, "If that comes to fruition, that's a dream come true, man. Barnabas Collins - when I was a kid I wanted to be Barnabas."
