The
Dragonball live-action adaptation, which is currently filming in Mexico has casted the leads. Justin Chatwin will star as Goku, a powerful warrior who protects the Earth from an endless stream of rogues bent on dominating the universe and controlling the mystical objects from which the film takes its name. James Marsters is also onboard as the film's villain, Piccolo.
The movie is being produced by Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle) and directed by James Wong (Final Destination). I'm hoping Stephen Chow's unique sense of humor and action will make this into a fun movie. But I'm also not getting those hopes up too high.
In other news, a wedding couple has the best Super Mario cake ever. A recreation of Level 1-1 of the NES game, down to the amount of bricks, wraps around the entire cake. The end of the stage with the flagpole and the castle are at the top center. Game inspired cakes seem to be a huge trend lately.
