Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh will Executive Produce 2 "Hobbit" movies. One will be an adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and the other will bridge the gap between The Hobbit prequel and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Even if Jackson doesn't direct, it's likely that actors will reprise their roles.
