In case we haven't gone through the History of Comic Books almanac for the next big film, Jon Favreau is thinking of piecing together an Avengers movie. Probably still on the high of working on Iron Man, due out May 2008, Favreau told MTV that an Avengers would be a great idea that he would like to direct.

For the comic book layman out there, the Avengers teamed together Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Ant-Man. I will leave out the fact I feel that cross-overs don't seem to fly on the big screen - seems TOO campy. Yes, even for a comic book movie.

Marvel, however, would only want to go ahead if all the characters get their own individual movies. Favreau explained, "In the case of Marvel, they're pretty clear on wanting to do it with the actors who've established the roles or to not do it at all."

Looks like we're just pretending the recasting of The Hulk from Eric Bana to Edward Norton didn't happen.
