I loved the X-Files. I loved the characters. I loved the story lines. That said, like most fans of the late 90s cult hit, the alien conspiracy stories were great and excellently executed but grew tiresome and too complicated to keep up.

Enter six years after the show's end, creator Chris Carter is bringing X-y back (yah, I did) with a new movie that will stay clear of government conspiracy, alien hybrids, Mulder's sister and any other plotlines that required 9 years of straight viewing just to know who's who.

Above is the first official shot from the upcoming movie (compliments of 20th Century Fox) featuring our favourite FBI team specializing in the paranormal, Mulder and Scully (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson).

Make way for the Neo-vampires and Peacock family-type stories -- I just released my inner geek.
