There are rumours in the Bondverse - not that we have any lot of proof as to their veracity - that a special A-list villain is joining the ranks of 007.

Sites such as  IGN.com and aintitcoolnews.com are both claiming to have sniffed out a story about Al Pacino playing the head honcho of the terrorist network from "Casino Royale".

So what do we know so far about the second Daniel Craig Bond film? That it is called "The Quantum of Solace" That it will take place directly after the events in "Casino Royale." That Bond will be pursuing the characters behind the tragedy of the first film.

I was pretty ho-hum about Bond until the last film, but "Casino" blew me away. It wouldn't be surprising if the franchise attracted Oscar-winners like Pacino. Not that I have heard anything..
