Could there be a third Batman movie in the works for actor Christian Bale?

"Knowing the Dark Knight story, I would like very much to complete a trilogy," said Bale in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

He adds that the project would ideally continue with director Christopher Nolan at the helm.

"And I think that knowing the story of The Dark Knight, it leaves you anticipating something that really can get very, very interesting for a third. Now, the question would be: Is Chris going to be doing it? Because to me I find it tricky to imagine working on it without it being a collaboration with Chris."

Bale was a bit more tight-lipped about the timeline of his upcoming Terminator project, but he did say that there are "some wonderful people who have been brought in".

"The Dark Knight" will hit theaters this summer.
