On Monday an intrepid HypaSpace crew headed off to San Francisco, and on Tuesday they attended the Microsoft Gamerday 2008 Media Event at the Dog Patch Studios.
It was a jammed packed day, as many developers from the top studios attended the event, including Cliff Bleszinski, Epic Games Design Director who previewed level two of 'Gears of War 2', the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning and best-selling 'Gears of War'. The game will be available in November, just in time for Christmas.
Canada's Denis Dyack (above) of Silicon Knights showed off 'Too Human', and confirmed that the game will be available August 19. "Too Human' will be part of the XBox LIVE multiplayer experience. If all goes according to plan, Hypaspace will have a preview of 'Too Human' on this weekend's show.

Tomonobu Itagaki (above) of TEMCO/Team NINJA revealed that gamers can expand Ninja Gaiden II, and released Gamerpics and Themes, available as PDLC on Xbox LIVE, 'Ninja Gaiden II' will hit store shelves in Canada on June 3.

Rare, the developers of the Banjo franchise, showed off 'Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts', and another sequel, 'Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise'. Both titles are very colourful, and whimsical.
Fable 2, another Xbox 360 sequel, was showcased by game designer Peter Molyneux, and he met with journalists to explain why and how Fable 2 is an improvement over the original game. This was one of the big themes of the day- how do developers build on existing franchises, and what will fans demand of a sequel?
One of the new games that was previewed at the event is one that I'm really looking forward to- 'Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One' which is an RPG adventure based on the hilarious web comic. A video game based on a web comic that discusses video games. That's got to be a first! It will be available on Xbox LIVE arcade May 21.
