It's the Spring finale of Battlestar Galactica and you know you are gonna need your fix before it starts up again in January, right? For those of you who want a little bit of BSG to take with you everywhere, take heart: A new mobile game based on the series has been announced.

Players are placed on board the Galactica and according to gamezone.com, this is how it unfolds:

"Starting as a rookie pilot, players take over the controls of the Colonial Viper Mark VII high performance fighter, and are quickly drawn into the ongoing interstellar war. Fighting their way through 20 stunning, action-packed levels and a variety of missions, players will be put to the test as they battle head-to-head."

Game developers with Glu Media worked closely with Universal to create "a compelling space-shooter that lets gamers experience the excitement and atmosphere of the Battlestar Galactica universe anytime, anywhere."

Jeremy Laws, Senior Vice President of Universal's Mobile & Broadband division, hailed the collaboration: "On television, Battlestar Galactica is incredibly visual and full of action and we wanted to deliver that same exhilarating experience to the mobile phone gamer. We know that fans of the series will love the adventure that awaits them."
