This past Saturday Natasha Eloi and I were presenters at the 2008 Shuster Award Ceremony.

There was quite a throng of creators and fans gathered at the Merril Collection to celebrate the best work from Canadian comic book creators. Gracing the podium were Chester Brown (who bashfully accepted the 'Best Publisher' award for his publisher- Drawn and Quarterly), Jeff Lemire (who won the Best Cartoonist category), Cecil Castelluci (who won Best Writer), Dale Eaglesham (who won Best Artist), and Hall of Fame winners Stan Berneche and Pierre Fournier. They were joined by well known creators including Darwyn Cooke, Cameron Stewart, Ramon Perez, and Ty Templeton.
