After Dark Film Festival includes 8 Nights of New Horror, Sci-Fi, Action and Cult Movies, kicks off tonight. Running from Friday, Oct. 17 to Friday, Oct. 24, at the city's Bloor Cinema, the fest screens 16 thrilling new feature film premieres and a host of kick-ass short films.

This year's festival highlights include multiple award-winning vampire film LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, cult horror musical REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA, epic sci-fi action flick MUTANT CHRONICLES with Thomas Jane and Ron Perlman, Japanese bloody insanity TOKYO GORE POLICE and the North American premiere of the supernatural graverobber comedy I SELL THE DEAD starring Dominic Monaghan and Ron Perlman.
