The Rue Morgue Ghosthunt

Steve Gillon Reports

Bill Murray and company may not be afraid of "no ghosts", but I sure am! Last week I got to take part in the filming of the Circuit Ghost Hunt - I even got to play an actual character!

By day, I am Steve Gillon, Production Assistant for SPACE, but at night, I assumed the role of Todd, the frightened Intern at Rue Morgue Magazine in Toronto. After being spooked in the basement, and letting out a roar that would give George of the Jungle a run for his loin cloth, Todd calls in the Circuit crew for some help.

Now, my time with SPACE has been nothing short of awesome, but I have to say I was legitimately frightened that day, and for good reason!

I was scared because I had never done anything like that, and it was my first real "acting" experience, aside from a stint as a chain smoking boom-mic operator. I am no Burt Reynolds by any means (really, THAT'S the best acting analogy I could come up with, haha?), but the Circuit hosts were AMAZING to work with. I have a new found respect for those guys and gal, and they helped me a great deal, as did everyone, and I am super grateful for that!

And for the main reason I was scared: I was asked to take something down to the Rue Morgue basement at eleven o'clock at night .BY MYSELF. Maybe it was the spirit of Hallowe'en alive and well within me, or maybe it's because I am 300% sure that basement is haunted!!!

I hope you can set some time aside this Halloween to join them on their hunt, and see what they find!

Steve
