Saturn's rings as seen by the Huygens probe

The Cassini-Huygens mission brings us amazing photos of Saturn's rings.

Although they look solid, Saturn's rings are actually water-ice particles mixed with dust and rock fragments. The tiny blue speck towards the left of the image is Earth.

A mosaic of 165 images taken by the Cassini wide angle camera were combined to form the panoramic image we see. The colours were then digitally recreated using ultraviolet infrared and clear filter images.
