Mamers Valles is a thousand kilometer trough in Arabia Terra

Mamers Valles is a trough that winds for about 1,000 kilometers. The valley bottom has linear features that scientists believe were made by flowing ice covered by rock.

The image was taken by the Thermal Emission Imaging System, warmer areas appear in reddish tints, while colder ones are more blue. The dark shadow seperates the higher and lower sides of the valley.
